Kinsley will turn 7 weeks old this coming Tuesday! Time, slow down NOW! It starts with Kinsley's first trip to the pediatrician at 2 1/2 weeks of age. Then I grabbed my camera when I caught Makenna reading a book to Kinsley. I have a similar picture of Kyle reading to Makenna as an infant.
I had a surprise-discovery with the frog cover for her baths. I saw it at Kohl's before she was born but didn't think I'd need it because my kids always have loved bathtime. Well, Kinsley wasn't so keen on it and screamed the entire time. So I trekked to Kohl's and bought this very smart investment! No more crying at bathtime! It is an amazing invention created by a Mom. You soak it in warm water and get it saturated, then lay on baby and lift each section as needed. The cloth doesn't get cold, but stays warm and keeps the baby warm and cozy.
You'll also see Kinsley at her first visit to Aunt Risa and Uncle Howie's house in Giddings (pictured with Nana and Paw Paw) and then her first soccer game (Kyle's season starter!) And of course I had to capture those first few smiles, some of which were in her sleep. But then she really gave us a show last Sunday at Kyle's birthday party. Aunt Risa really brought out the charm in her!
She had her first trip to the zoo too a few weeks ago and slept the entire time in the stroller--couldn't believe it! Her favorite spot is in the Moby wrap as you'll see in the pictures. I was filled with total peace and joy as I watched her swing on Wednesday in the swing for ten minutes, smiling the entire time. It was beautiful. Afterwards, she went on her first exercise walk with me in the jogger stroller. And there is also a photo of the three kids looking at the TV--Kinsley is seeing her first Baby Einstein video, the sweet nectar of the television gods which kept Kyle and Makenna very very very happy as babies!
So it has been a month of many 'firsts'! Enjoy!
