Last Sunday Kyle and Makenna participated in our church's "blessing of the backpacks" day. It was Makenna's first time to go up to Rock Time, the children's message time at Point of Grace. Kyle's an ol' pro by now! All the kids at church through college were prayed over, including our little tykes who raised their hands in prayer, praying the 'old fashioned' way as our Pastor says. They are both so very proud of their new backpacks they get to use this week at preschool. Kyle will be starting his second year of preschool and Makenna is starting her first! I chose to get her a big-girl backpack as opposed to a toddler size backpack like Kyle had last year. It just makes more sense for a girl to have a tote large enough for everything a girl might need, right?
